Honest Geo Vastu

Geopathic Stress Audit in Bangalore

A room by room Lecher Antenna survey from the Geo Vastu tradition, mapped on your plan, labelled as interpretive, with no devices sold and no health claims made.

A geopathic stress audit is a room by room survey, carried out during an on-site Vastu visit, in which Raghavendra Hebbur uses a Lecher Antenna to look for spots that the Geo Vastu tradition describes as disturbed. The findings are marked on your floor plan, and where it is easy to do so we suggest moving a bed, a desk or a regular seat to a spot the survey reads as neutral.

We want to be clear from the first paragraph. Geopathic stress is a traditional idea, and the instruments used to read it are radiesthesia, or dowsing type, tools. They are not accepted by mainstream science. We offer this survey as one interpretive layer of a wider assessment, we sell no devices, and we make no health claims. This page explains exactly what we do and what we do not do.

What geopathic stress means in the Geo Vastu tradition

In the Geo Vastu and wider radiesthesia traditions, practitioners describe the ground under a building as uneven in a subtle way. They speak of lines or bands associated with underground water, fault zones and grid patterns that have been given names such as the Hartmann and Curry grids. Where such lines cross, the tradition holds that a spot is less suitable for long periods of rest or work.

That is the traditional description. We report it faithfully because it is what the method assumes, but we do not present it as established physics. Nobody has shown, by accepted scientific methods, that these lines exist as a measurable physical force, or that they affect people.

How mainstream science views it

Controlled studies of dowsing have generally found that results do not exceed chance and are not repeatable between practitioners. Wikipedia keeps a useful overview of dowsing and the research on it if you want to read the sceptical case for yourself. We think you should.

Why offer the survey at all, then? Because many families ask for it, because the actions that follow are simple and free, and because we would rather it be done honestly, labelled as interpretive and kept separate from measured findings, than sold with fear and a device attached. If you prefer to skip it, tell us and we will leave it out of your Vastu visit.

The instruments: Lecher Antenna and UAS

Raghavendra Hebbur is a Lecher Antenna practitioner and a Certified Geo Master, and he also uses the Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) by Geo Engineering. Both are radiesthesia tools. The practitioner holds the instrument and reads its response while moving through a space.

Because the reading depends on the practitioner, we call the output a practitioner reading, never a measurement. Two practitioners may not mark the same spots. Our article on the Lecher Antenna in Vastu describes the instrument and its background in more detail.

How a geopathic stress audit is done, room by room

The survey follows the measured part of the Vastu visit, so that true north and the 16 zones are already drawn on your plan.

  • We start with the rooms where people spend the longest periods: bedrooms, a home office, the study and the main sitting area.
  • In each room the practitioner walks slow, regular passes across the floor with the Lecher Antenna, paying most attention to bed and desk positions.
  • Spots that read as disturbed are marked with tape and then measured from two fixed walls, so they can be placed on the plan accurately.
  • We then check the immediate area around each bed and desk for a nearby spot that reads as neutral, and confirm that the furniture would actually fit there.
  • Remaining rooms, the entrance and the puja area are surveyed more briefly if time allows.

For a typical apartment this adds a modest amount of time to a visit that usually runs two to four hours.

How findings are mapped on your plan

Every marked spot is transferred to the same plan that carries your true north line and VIDS™ 16-zone grid. True north comes from compass readings taken at several points and corrected for magnetic declination using the NOAA magnetic declination calculator, so the survey overlay sits in the right place relative to every wall.

On the plan, survey findings are drawn in a separate colour and labelled as interpretive. That keeps them visually apart from what we measure, such as zone boundaries, sunlight and ventilation. You can see the general report format on our sample Vastu report page.

What we do with the findings

Our suggestions after a geopathic stress audit are deliberately small and reversible:

  • Shift a bed by a short distance, or turn it, so that the usual sleeping position sits on a spot read as neutral.
  • Move a desk or a regular reading chair in the same way.
  • Where a room reads as disturbed across most of its floor, suggest a change of room use, for example using it for storage or as a guest room rather than a main bedroom.
  • Combine these moves with the other Vastu findings, so a change does not undo good light or ventilation.

None of these steps costs money, and all of them can be undone in minutes if you do not like the result. Whether you act on them is entirely your choice.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or recommend shielding mats, copper coils, crystals, pyramids, plates or any other device said to neutralise geopathic stress.
  • We do not make any claim about illness, sleep disorders, fertility, children or wellbeing. If you have a health concern, please see a doctor.
  • We do not use the survey to frighten anyone or to create urgency.
  • We do not recommend structural changes on the basis of a radiesthesia reading.

Our wider position on products and fear is set out on the scientific Vastu page.

The limits of a geopathic stress audit

A geopathic stress audit is a practitioner reading inside a tradition. It cannot confirm a physical cause for anything, and its results may differ between practitioners or between visits. It is not an electrical safety check: if you are concerned about wiring, earthing or exposed cables, a licensed electrician should inspect them. It is not a damp or structural survey either: seepage and cracks need a civil or structural engineer.

Treat the survey as optional context, and give it far less weight than the measured findings in your report.

When it is included

The survey needs the practitioner physically in each room, so it is offered only on site. It cannot be done online, from photographs or from a plan alone, and our online Vastu consultation does not include it. It is also not part of a pre-purchase plot report, because a plot visit focuses on direction, slope, access and surroundings.

Fees for a geopathic stress audit

For on-site home visits, the survey is included in the standard fee at no extra cost:

  • Bangalore apartment or row house: ₹15,000
  • Bangalore villa or independent house: ₹25,000
  • Outstation apartment: ₹21,000 plus travel
  • Outstation villa: ₹30,000 plus travel

Standalone audits, without a full Vastu assessment, and surveys of commercial or industrial premises are quoted after we understand the size of the site. All other fees are on the Vastu consultation fees page.

How the survey fits our method

Our Vastu methodology puts measurement first: direction in degrees from true north, 16 zones on the plan, light, ventilation and room use. Traditional guidance comes second, clearly labelled. The geopathic survey sits in the interpretive layer after both. That order matters. A bed position that suits the survey but loses morning light or blocks a window is not an improvement, and we will say so.

Preparing for the visit

To make the survey useful, please keep every room accessible on the day, including locked study rooms and store rooms. Leave beds and desks in their normal positions so we read the places you actually use. A copy of the floor plan helps, though we can sketch one on site. Our guide on how to prepare for a Vastu consultation covers the rest.

A typical survey, described in general terms

Picture a three bedroom apartment in a Bangalore high rise. After the direction readings and zone mapping are complete, the practitioner begins in the main bedroom, because that is where the longest hours are spent. Passes are made across the floor, first along the length of the room and then across it. Two or three spots may be marked with tape. One may fall under the head end of the bed; another may sit in a corner that nobody uses.

The useful question is then a practical one: is there a nearby position, within the same room, that reads as neutral and still leaves the window clear, the wardrobe door free to open and the walking path comfortable? Often the answer is a shift of half a metre or a quarter turn. Sometimes there is no good option, and we say so rather than forcing a change that makes the room worse to live in.

The children’s room, the study and the living room are handled the same way, more briefly. The whole process is calm and quiet. There is nothing to switch off, nothing is installed, and the family can watch or carry on with the day.

Questions families usually ask on the day

  • Is it safe for us to keep living here? Yes. A survey reading is not a safety finding. Real safety issues, such as wiring or structural cracks, need a licensed electrician or engineer.
  • Should we change bedrooms tonight? There is no urgency. Read the report, think it over, and move furniture only if you want to.
  • Will the spots move over time? Practitioners in the tradition say they can, which is another reason we keep suggestions light and reversible.
  • Can you check our new flat before we move? Yes, if we can get access to every room. An empty flat is actually easier to survey.

Why we keep this layer small

Any reading that cannot be independently checked deserves modest weight. A careful practitioner should be the first to say that, and we do. In the written report the survey section is short, it sits after the measured and traditional findings, and every suggestion in it is optional. If a recommendation from the survey ever conflicts with daylight, cross ventilation or how your family actually uses a room, the practical consideration wins.

This restraint is also a safeguard against the commercial side of the field. Where readings like these are used to sell expensive shielding products, the incentive is always to find more problems. Because we sell nothing, our only interest is to give you an honest, proportionate account and then step back.

What an online Vastu assessment covers

An online assessment uses traditional Vastu analysis only. We draw the 16-zone map from the centre of your plan, using compass readings you take with us on a video call, and lay the 3×3 grid over the same plan: the nine-square division with the Brahmasthan at the centre. Every finding comes from these two methods, such as which zone holds each door, room, kitchen, toilet and water point, and how the nine squares and the centre are used.

Geopathic stress readings with the Lecher Antenna and the Universal Aura Scanner are not part of an online assessment, because they need us physically on site. If your online report suggests a closer look is worthwhile, an on-site visit can follow.

Frequently asked questions.

Is geopathic stress scientifically proven?

No. It is a traditional idea, and dowsing tools such as the Lecher Antenna are not accepted by mainstream science. We treat the survey as an interpretive practitioner reading.

Can it be done online?

No. The survey needs the practitioner in each room, so it is offered only during on-site visits.

Do I need to buy anything afterwards?

No. We sell no devices. Suggestions are free moves such as shifting a bed or desk, or changing how a room is used.

Does it cost extra?

It is included in on-site home visits at the standard fee. Standalone audits and commercial sites are quoted separately.
