Vardhini Vastu is a Vastu consultant in Indiranagar for showrooms, boutiques, restaurants and offices on 100 Feet Road, 12th Main and CMH Road, and for the older family homes on the quieter streets behind them, from HAL 2nd Stage to Defence Colony and Domlur. Every property is measured on site and mapped into 16 zones. Every correction works without demolition, which matters a great deal in a neighbourhood full of old buildings people want to keep.
We apply traditional Vastu Shastra with instruments: degree-accurate compass readings at several points, a zone map drawn from the exact centre of the space and a Lecher Antenna scan. A written report follows within 48 hours.
Retail on the main roads, family homes behind them
The main roads of Indiranagar are lined with showrooms, boutiques, restaurants and offices, many of them in what were once family bungalows. Behind them, the residential streets still have independent homes, some of them decades old and lovingly kept.
We assess both, and the questions are different. Retail clients want footfall and conversion: where customers enter, what they see first and where the billing counter stands. Home owners in older houses usually want to improve a home without disturbing a structure the family has lived in for years. In both cases our answer avoids demolition.
What a Vastu consultant in Indiranagar checks in a showroom
A showroom is read as a journey from the street to the counter. The first things we map are:
- The entrance zone and how open and inviting it is from the road.
- The first display a customer sees after entering.
- The path customers take through the store.
- The billing counter and the direction the cashier faces.
- Trial rooms and storage, which carry weight and should sit towards the south and west.
- The owner’s seat, ideally in the south-west facing north or east.
Most retail corrections are about layout and lighting, so they fit an existing fit-out without rebuilding anything.
Opening a new store here
If you are signing a lease on 100 Feet Road, 12th Main or nearby, send us the floor plan before you finalise the fit-out. Getting the counter, trial rooms, storage and display positions right on paper is easier and cheaper than changing them after opening. We work directly with your interior designer and share the zone map with them.
We also look at the building’s entrance from the road, signage visibility and how the shopfront reads. These are practical retail concerns that sit comfortably alongside the Vastu reading.
Restaurants and bars
Indiranagar has one of the city’s busiest food scenes. For restaurants we read the entrance, the host stand, the billing counter, the kitchen and the seating. Kitchens traditionally suit the south-east. When a kitchen falls elsewhere, as it often does in a converted bungalow, we work with the position of the range, the direction the cooks face and the surrounding zone.
Bars, coolers and water stations are placed with their elements in mind, and the owner’s office, often tucked away at the back, gets the same attention as in any business.
Older family homes
Many houses behind the main roads were built long before modern apartments, on generous plots with gardens, verandahs and outbuildings. We read the whole plot: gate, compound, open areas, staircase, sump and overhead tank, as well as each room.
Room use has often changed over the decades. A former study may now be a bedroom, an old store may be a puja room. Reassigning rooms to suit their zones is usually the simplest correction, and it respects the house as it stands.
Offices above retail
Many buildings on the main roads have offices on the upper floors. We assess them as separate units: entrance, founder or owner seating, finance desk, team layout and meeting rooms. The owner generally belongs in the south-west facing north or east, with reception near the entrance on the north or east side. See Vastu for Office.
Apartments in Indiranagar and Domlur
Alongside houses, there are apartment buildings throughout the neighbourhood. In a flat the structure is fixed, so we read the unit from its centre and focus on what you control: bedroom allocation, bed and desk direction, kitchen arrangement, a clear north-east and an uncluttered centre.
Converting a house to commercial use
When an owner leases a bungalow for commercial use, or converts part of it themselves, the building keeps its orientation but the use changes completely. We help plan the new layout so reception, cabins, counters and storage sit in sensible zones from the start.
How a visit in Indiranagar works
A typical apartment visit in Indiranagar takes one to two hours, and an independent house or a large showroom takes longer. We take compass readings at several points, away from steel, wiring and appliances that disturb the needle, note how each space is used and scan the bedrooms, desks and seating areas with the Lecher Antenna. Within 48 hours you receive the written VIDS report: the zone map, every reading, what is working, what needs attention and the corrections in order of priority. Questions after that are answered on WhatsApp, and nearby clients can ask for a short follow-up check once changes are in place. Commercial visits are timed around your opening hours.
Fees and what you receive
Fees are fixed by property type and quoted before the visit, with nothing charged afterwards for the report. Current Bangalore fees for homes, villas and commercial premises are on our Pricing page, and our sample Vastu report shows the format you receive. We do not sell yantras, pyramids, crystals or any other products. Every correction uses what you already have: placement, room use, colour, light and the balance of the five elements. Showrooms and offices are quoted as commercial work.
Questions we hear in Indiranagar
“Can you review a store layout before we open?” Yes, and it is the best time.
“Our house is very old. Can Vastu help without rebuilding?” Yes. We work through room use, placement, colour, light and elemental balance.
“Do you work with interior designers?” Yes. We share the zone map and placement notes.
“Do you cover Domlur and HAL?” Yes, along with nearby Koramangala and KR Puram.
Gardens and trees
Older Indiranagar homes often have mature trees and gardens. In traditional Vastu, large trees are preferred towards the south and west, where they add weight and shade, while the north and east are kept more open for light. We do not suggest cutting healthy trees. Instead we look at how the garden is used and where new planting, seating or water features would sit best.
A note on outcomes
Retailers understandably ask whether Vastu will improve sales. We do not promise outcomes. A Vastu report is guidance based on classical principles and measured readings, and it works alongside good merchandising and service, not instead of them. Our editorial standards explain how we separate tradition, measurement and interpretation.
Signage, lighting and the shopfront
From the street, a shop is judged in a second. We look at how the shopfront reads from the road, where the signboard sits, and how well the entrance is lit after dark. A bright, uncluttered entrance with signage that does not block the door is good retail practice and fits the Vastu emphasis on an open, welcoming threshold.
Inside, we suggest lighting by zone: brighter in the north and east, warmer and more focused in the south and west where heavier displays and storage sit.
Areas we cover in and around Indiranagar
On-site visits cover HAL 2nd and 3rd Stage, Defence Colony, Domlur, Jeevan Bima Nagar, CV Raman Nagar, Old Airport Road and the roads towards Ulsoor. If your home or business is just outside these areas, message us the location on WhatsApp and we will confirm the visit and fee before you book. The same VIDS Vastu assessment is also available online for premises anywhere in India.
Shared walls and neighbouring buildings
Indiranagar is densely built, and many shops and homes share walls with tall neighbours. A taller building to the south or west is traditionally considered supportive, while one that crowds the north or east can block light and openness. We note what surrounds each property during the visit and take it into account, for example by keeping the north and east inside the space as open and bright as possible when the outside is closed in.
