Vastu Consultant in Koramangala

Vastu consultations across Koramangala's blocks for family homes, startup offices, restaurants and retail spaces.

Vardhini Vastu is a Vastu consultant in Koramangala for family homes, startup offices, cafes, restaurants and retail spaces across its blocks, from 1st Block to 8th Block and the ST Bed area. Few parts of Bangalore mix homes and businesses as closely, so we always start by asking what a space is used for today. Every property is measured on site, and every correction works without demolition.

We apply traditional Vastu Shastra with instruments: compass readings at several points, a 16-zone map from the centre of each unit and a Lecher Antenna scan. A written report follows within 48 hours.

Where homes and businesses share the same street

A quiet residential cross in Koramangala can sit one turn away from a road full of cafes, studios and startup offices. Many buildings have changed use more than once: a family house becomes an office, then a restaurant, then a co-working space. Each change keeps the original orientation but alters what the space needs.

For a family home we map bedrooms, kitchen and entrance. For a business we follow how people and money move: where customers enter, where the counter or founder sits, and where stock or records are kept.

What a Vastu consultant in Koramangala reads in a converted building

Converted houses are common here, and they need careful reading:

  • The original entrance and any new entrances added for the business.
  • Former bedrooms now used as cabins or meeting rooms.
  • Former kitchens now used as pantries or storage.
  • The staircase, often opened up or relocated.
  • The centre of the building, sometimes now a hall or open floor.
  • The terrace, increasingly used as a cafe or event space.

We map each into the 16 zones and suggest how to arrange the new use within the old structure.

Restaurants and cafes

For food businesses we look at the entrance, the billing counter, the kitchen, the seating and the owner’s position. Kitchens traditionally suit the south-east, the zone of fire. When a kitchen sits elsewhere, as it often does in converted buildings, we work with the range position, the cook’s direction and the surrounding zone.

The billing counter is placed so the person handling money faces north or east, with a stable wall behind. Seating is arranged so the entrance stays open and welcoming.

Startup offices

Koramangala has one of the densest concentrations of startups in Bangalore. In an office we place the founder in the south-west, facing north or east with a solid wall behind, the finance function in a stable zone with a secure cabinet, reception near the entrance on the north or east side, and meeting rooms in the north-west or west.

Most offices are rented, and all of this is done through layout. See Vastu for Office for the full approach.

Family homes in the blocks

Away from the busy roads, Koramangala still has many independent houses and apartment buildings. For houses we read the plot, gate, staircase, sump and overhead tank as well as the rooms. For apartments we read the flat as a unit. Bedroom zones, bed direction and a clear north-east are usually the first priorities.

Retail and boutiques

Boutiques and stores on 80 Feet Road and the inner roads need an entrance that draws people in, a display that is visible from the door, a clear path through the store and a counter where the owner faces north or east. Heavy stock and storage belong towards the south and west.

Co-working and shared offices

In a co-working space, members cannot change the building but can choose where they sit. We advise operators on the overall layout and individual members on desk choice: facing north or east, a wall behind, and away from the busiest walkways.

Living above the business

Some owners live on an upper floor and run a business on the ground floor. Each floor is mapped for its own use, and we note how the shared entrance and staircase affect both.

How a visit in Koramangala works

A typical apartment visit in Koramangala takes one to two hours. We take compass readings at several points, away from steel, wiring and appliances that disturb the needle, note how each room is used and scan the bedrooms and work areas with the Lecher Antenna. Within 48 hours you receive the written VIDS report: the zone map, every reading, what is working, what needs attention and the corrections in order of priority. Questions after that are answered on WhatsApp. Commercial visits are timed around your opening hours.

Fees and what you receive

Fees are fixed by property type and quoted before the visit, with nothing charged afterwards for the report. Current Bangalore fees are on our Pricing page, and our sample Vastu report shows the format you receive. We do not sell yantras, pyramids or any products; every correction uses what you already have. Business premises are quoted as commercial work.

Questions we hear in Koramangala

“Our office is in a converted house. Does Vastu still apply?” Yes. Every building has a measurable orientation.

“Does a cafe need a redesign?” No. We work with counter position, seating, lighting and colour.

“Do you assess both floors if we live above the shop?” Yes, each for its own use.

“Which blocks do you cover?” All blocks, plus nearby HSR Layout and Indiranagar.

A note on outcomes

Business owners understandably want to know whether Vastu will improve revenue. We do not promise outcomes. A Vastu report is guidance based on classical principles and measured readings, and it sits alongside good management, not in place of it. Our editorial standards explain how we separate tradition, measurement and interpretation.

Terraces and rooftop spaces

Koramangala has a growing number of rooftop cafes, terrace gardens and event spaces. In traditional Vastu, the south and west of a building are preferred higher and heavier, the north and east lower and lighter. A rooftop structure in the south-west generally sits well. One in the north-east adds weight where the building should be light.

We look at where kitchens, bars, water tanks and seating sit on the terrace and suggest how to balance them. Heavy planters, storage and service areas towards the south and west, open seating towards the north and east, is a sensible default.

Clinics, studios and salons

Beyond offices and food, Koramangala has many clinics, fitness studios, salons and design studios. For a clinic we read reception, the consultation room, where the doctor sits and where records are kept. For a studio, where the instructor stands and how the room is oriented. For a salon, the entrance, the counter and the chairs.

Each is a layout question. The owner or lead professional is placed in a stable zone facing north or east, the counter is kept organised and visible, and the entrance stays clear and bright.

Choosing a new office space

Startups here move offices as they grow. Before you sign a lease, send us the floor plan and the building orientation. A short drawing-based review tells you how the founder’s cabin, finance desk, team areas and meeting rooms would fit the zone map. It is far easier to plan seating before the move than to rearrange afterwards.

Why measurement matters in Koramangala

Koramangala’s blocks were laid out on a grid, but the grid is not perfectly aligned with north. Many plots sit several degrees off the cardinal directions, and some buildings were angled further during reconstruction. A building described as east facing may face anywhere across a wide arc, which moves doors and rooms into different zones. That is why we never rely on the property description or a phone map. Every reading in our report comes from compass measurements taken on site at several points.
