Universal Aura Scanner Vastu: What the UAS Is and How We Use It

What the Universal Aura Scanner is, how we use it on site visits only, why it is radiesthesia rather than measurement, and what it can and cannot tell you.

Universal Aura Scanner Vastu readings are one of the questions people ask us about most after a site visit, usually because they have seen the instrument in a video and want to know what it actually does. This guide explains what the Universal Aura Scanner, often called the UAS, is, how we use it on site, what its honest status is, and why it never replaces the measured part of a Vastu assessment.

Raghavendra Hebbur uses the UAS by Geo Engineering alongside the Lecher Antenna, and is a Certified Geo Master. We use both instruments only on site, we describe both as radiesthesia that mainstream science does not accept, and we never use their readings to frighten anyone or to sell anything.

What the Universal Aura Scanner is

The UAS is a hand-held instrument used in radiesthesia, the practice also known as dowsing. The practitioner holds it while standing at a point or near an object and observes how it responds. As with other dowsing tools, the movement comes through the practitioner and is read against a learned scale.

Practitioners use it to compare spaces, objects and positions within a property, for example the area around a bed against another part of the same room. The word aura in its name comes from the radiesthesia tradition. It does not refer to anything that a physical instrument in a laboratory would record.

The honest status of the instrument

We state this plainly in every report:

  • The UAS is a radiesthesia instrument. It is not accepted by mainstream science.
  • Controlled tests of dowsing have not produced results that mainstream science accepts.
  • Its results are practitioner readings. Another practitioner may read the same space differently.
  • There is no published standard that turns a UAS reading into a measured quantity, the way a compass gives degrees.

That is why every UAS finding in our reports carries the label interpretive. It sits beside the measured findings, never in place of them. This is part of what we mean by scientific Vastu.

Measured first, interpretive second

A Vastu site visit always starts with measurement. We fix true north with a compass corrected for magnetic declination, which you can check with the NOAA magnetic declination calculator, draw the 16 zones over the plan, and record each room, door and water point by zone. We also note light, ventilation, moisture and how each room is used.

Only after that do we offer radiesthesia readings, and only if you want them. The measured reading of your home does not depend on them in any way. If you decline them, nothing in the assessment, the report or the fee changes.

How a UAS reading fits into a site visit

  • We complete the measured 16-zone assessment first.
  • If you ask for it, we walk the bedrooms, the work areas and any space you have concerns about.
  • We note UAS and Lecher Antenna readings on the plan, labelled as interpretive.
  • Where readings suggest it, we discuss simple free changes, such as moving a bed or a desk.
  • Everything goes into the written report, which arrives within 48 hours.

See our geopathic stress audit for how this is offered as a separate service in Bangalore.

How it relates to the Lecher Antenna

The two instruments come from the same radiesthesia tradition and are often used together. The Lecher Antenna is used to mark lines and points across a floor, while the UAS is used to compare particular spots and objects. Neither is a measuring device in the scientific sense. Our guide to the Lecher Antenna in Vastu explains that instrument in the same honest terms.

What a reading can and cannot tell you

What it can offer: a structured prompt to look again at where people sleep and sit, and a reason to make small, free changes that many households find reassuring.

What it cannot tell you: it cannot diagnose illness, predict events, prove the presence of underground water or faults, or guarantee any outcome. We will not tell you that a reading explains a health problem. For health concerns, please see a doctor.

Why it is never online

A UAS reading needs the practitioner and the instrument in the space. Any offer to scan a home remotely from a photograph or a plan would be a different practice, and not one we offer. Our online Vastu consultation uses traditional Vastu only: the 16-zone map and a 3×3 grid drawn on your plan from guided compass readings.

What we do with the readings

We never sell objects, devices or treatments to correct a reading. If a bed sits on a point that the readings mark, the suggestion is to move the bed a short distance. If a desk sits on one, the suggestion is to move the desk. These are changes you can make in minutes and undo just as easily.

We also never use readings to create fear. If a reading is unclear, we say so. If you would rather not have radiesthesia readings at all, the measured assessment stands complete on its own.

When a UAS reading is worth adding

Most Vastu questions are answered completely by the measured assessment. A radiesthesia layer tends to interest people in a few situations:

  • You are setting up a bedroom or a child room and want to choose the bed position carefully.
  • You work long hours at a home desk and want to think about where it sits.
  • You already follow the Geo Vastu tradition and would like it included.
  • You are curious and want to see how the readings compare with the measured zones.

If none of these apply, you lose nothing by leaving it out. We would rather you spent your time on the changes that the measured reading suggests.

When it is not worth doing

We advise against a UAS reading when someone is anxious and looking for a single cause for a difficult period, when a reading is being sought to decide on a medical matter, or when someone hopes it will settle a family disagreement. In those situations a dowsing reading is more likely to add worry than to help, and we will say so.

We also do not offer it as a way to choose between properties before purchase. For that, use the measured pre-purchase Vastu check, which reads shape, entrance and room zones.

Questions to ask any practitioner

If someone offers you a Universal Aura Scanner Vastu reading, these questions help you judge the offer:

  • Do you describe this instrument as radiesthesia, and do you say that mainstream science does not accept it?
  • Will you measure true north and the 16 zones before using it?
  • Will your report label the readings separately from measured findings?
  • Will you ask me to buy any product, device or ritual afterwards?
  • Can you do this reading remotely? If the answer is yes, ask how.

Clear, honest answers to these are a good sign. Our article on how to choose a Vastu consultant covers this more broadly.

How the readings appear in your Vastu report

In the written report, the measured section comes first: true north, the 16-zone plan, each room by zone, and the corrections that follow from classical Vastu guidance. Radiesthesia readings, if you asked for them, appear in a separate section headed interpretive. Each one is marked on the plan with the instrument used and the suggested free change, if any.

Keeping the sections apart means you can read the report without the interpretive layer and still have a complete Vastu assessment. It also means that if you share the report with an architect or interior designer, they can see at once which items rest on measurement. See our sample report for the layout.

Offices, shops and factories

On commercial sites we are asked for UAS readings less often, and we suggest them less often. For an office, a shop or a factory, the measured reading of entrances, cabins, cash counters, machinery and stores carries the practical value. Where an owner asks, we can add readings around specific seats or workstations during the same visit, labelled in the same way. See Vastu for office and commercial Vastu.

    Frequently asked questions.

Is the Universal Aura Scanner scientifically proven?

No. It is a radiesthesia, or dowsing-type, instrument. Mainstream science does not accept it, so we report its readings as interpretive and keep them apart from measured findings.

Can a UAS reading be done online?

No. It needs the practitioner on site, so it is offered only as part of a site visit. Online assessments use traditional Vastu only: the 16-zone map and a 3x3 grid.

Will I be asked to buy anything after a UAS reading?

No. We sell no products. Any suggestion is a free change, such as moving a bed or desk.
