Vastu Consultant in MG Road

Vastu assessments for office floors, showrooms, restaurants and clinics on MG Road, Brigade Road, Infantry Road and around Shivajinagar, Richmond Town and Johnson Market.

As a Vastu consultant in MG Road, most of our work is commercial: office floors, showrooms, restaurants, clinics and retail along MG Road, Brigade Road, Infantry Road, Residency Road and the streets around Shivajinagar, Richmond Town and Johnson Market. Businesses here usually lease a floor or a unit in a larger building, so the walls, lifts, toilets and services are fixed by the landlord, and the reading focuses on what the business controls inside its own space.

We use our VIDS 16-zone method, measured from true north on site, keep classical guidance apart from what we measure, and plan every correction without demolition. We sell no products, take no commission and make no promises about revenue. We tell you how your premises read by direction and what is practical to change within your lease.

Office floors in commercial buildings

An office floor is read as its own unit, from its own centre. The items that matter most are:

  • The office entrance on its wall, read by the 32 padas.
  • The reception in the north or east, facing visitors as they enter.
  • The owner or director cabin in the south-west, the seat facing north or east.
  • Accounts and finance facing north.
  • Workstations through the centre and east, with staff facing north or east where possible.
  • The server room and electrical panels in the south-east or south-west.
  • Pantry in the south-east or north-west.
  • Meeting rooms in the north-west or west.

See Vastu for office, the office guide and Vastu for rented offices.

Before you sign a lease

For a leased floor, the best time for a reading is before the fit-out drawings are made. We read the shell plan, mark where the cabin, reception, workstations, server room and pantry should go, and send it to your interior designer. If you are comparing two or three floors, we read each and set them side by side. See pre-purchase Vastu check.

Showrooms and flagship stores

For a showroom, the reading follows the customer: entrance on a good pada, a bright and open north and east for display, the cash and billing counter facing north or east, the trial rooms or consultation areas in the west, and stock in the south-west. A clear centre lets customers move through the whole floor. See Vastu for showrooms.

Restaurants, cafes and bars

For food businesses, the kitchen in the south-east is the classical first choice, with the north-west as the accepted alternative. The cash counter faces north or east, dining fills the north and east, and stores and cold rooms go to the south-west. Where the kitchen position is fixed by the building, we work with the cooking line and the stove direction. See Vastu for hotels and restaurants.

Clinics and professional practices

Clinics, law firms, accountants and consultants in the area are read for the reception, the consultation rooms, the principal seat and the records room. The principal sits in the south-west facing north or east, records go to the south and west, and the waiting area suits the north-west or north. See Vastu for clinics.

Homes in Richmond Town and around

Behind the commercial streets, Richmond Town, Langford Town and the roads near Johnson Market have apartments and older houses. For these we read the entrance, kitchen, bedrooms, toilets and the centre as in any home. See Vastu for apartment and independent house Vastu.

How the visit works

We visit outside peak business hours where possible. Commercial buildings have steel frames, ducts and dense wiring, which pull a compass needle, so we take readings at several points and correct them for magnetic declination, which you can check with the NOAA magnetic declination calculator. We sketch the floor and mark every room, seat and opening by zone.

Lecher Antenna readings can be added on site if you want them, described honestly as radiesthesia, which mainstream science does not accept, and kept separate from measured findings.

Common findings in commercial floors

  • The director cabin placed in the north-east corner for the view.
  • The server room or UPS in the north-east.
  • The reception facing a blank wall to the south or west.
  • The pantry in the centre of the floor.
  • Stock rooms in the north-east of a showroom, near the service entrance.

Each is measured and ranked by how practical it is to change.

Corrections without demolition

  • Swap cabin and meeting room uses.
  • Turn reception and cash desks to face north or east.
  • Move server racks and UPS to the south-east or south-west at the next fit-out.
  • Clear the north-east of storage.
  • Plan new fit-outs from the zone plan.

See zero-demolition corrections.

Fees and reports

Commercial assessments start from ₹51,000 and are quoted after we see the floor plan. A Bangalore apartment or row house is ₹15,000; a villa or independent house is ₹25,000. The written report arrives within 48 hours. See all fees and a sample report.

Why Vardhini Vastu

We have practised since 2016, completed more than 3,200 consultations and hold a 5.0 rating from 248 Google reviews. We measure before we advise, separate classical guidance from measurement, sell nothing and take no commission. We make no promises about growth or revenue.

Co-working spaces and shared offices

Many smaller businesses in the central district work from co-working spaces or shared floors. You cannot change the floor, but you can often choose your desk or cabin. Tradition suggests a seat in the south or west part of the floor, facing north or east, with a solid wall behind you rather than a busy passage or a glass partition. For a private cabin within a shared floor, the same rules apply inside the cabin. See Vastu for rented offices.

Expanding to a second floor

When a business takes a second floor in the same building, each floor is read on its own plan. Leadership and finance usually suit the floor whose south-west is quiet and enclosed, while client-facing teams suit the floor with the brighter north and east. Planning the move with both floors in view avoids splitting teams in ways that work against the layout.

Signage, frontage and street entrances

For ground floor units on busy roads, the street entrance is fixed but the inner door, the counter and the display are not. A shallow lobby can turn the inner door onto a better pada, and a counter turned to face north or east costs little to change. Signage itself is not a Vastu matter, but a clear, well-lit frontage helps customers find you, which is a practical point worth making when the frontage is being redone anyway.

Common questions on MG Road

Can you read our floor from the leasing plan? Yes. We start from the plan and confirm north on site.

Do you work with our interior and fit-out contractor? Yes. We send written comments they can act on.

Can the visit happen after office hours? We plan the visit at a time that suits you.

Boardrooms and meeting rooms

Boardrooms suit the north-west or west of an office floor. The chair of the meeting sits on the south or west side of the table, facing north or east, with a solid wall behind. Screens and presentation walls go on the north or east side, where natural light is softer. For smaller meeting rooms, the same rule applies at a smaller scale. See cabin seating.

Banks, branches and service counters

Branch offices with customer counters follow the same logic as shops: the entrance on a good pada, counters facing north or east, the manager seat in the south-west, and the strongroom or safe in the south-west opening towards the north. Waiting areas suit the north-west or north. These are layout points that can be built into any fit-out at no extra cost, and they also make the branch easier for customers to use and for staff to supervise.

Before a fit-out in the central district

Fit-outs here are expensive and long-lived. A Vastu consultant in MG Road should be involved before the design is frozen, so the zone plan becomes part of the brief rather than a correction afterwards. A single reading at that stage often shapes the whole office for the length of the lease. We keep our input short, written and tied to the drawing, so your designer can use it directly. See interior Vastu.

Frequently asked questions.

Do you assess leased office floors?

Yes. We read the floor as its own unit and focus on what you control: cabin, reception, workstations, server room and pantry.

When should we involve you in a new office?

Before the fit-out drawings are made, so the layout can be planned once.

Do you cover Infantry Road, Shivajinagar and Richmond Town?

Yes, along with MG Road, Brigade Road and the roads around Johnson Market.

Do you sell products for offices?

No. Every correction is about layout, placement or use.
