Vastu Consultant in Bannerghatta Road

Vastu assessments for apartments, independent houses, clinics and shops along Bannerghatta Road. Measured from true north, read in 16 zones and corrected without demolition.

Vardhini Vastu works as a Vastu consultant in Bannerghatta Road for apartment families, owners of independent houses in the layouts behind the main road, and the many clinics, shops and small offices that line it. We visit, measure the property from true north, read it in 16 zones and send a prioritised written report within 48 hours. None of our corrections involve demolition.

Bannerghatta Road is a busy, mixed corridor running south from the city. Apartment complexes sit on both sides, older residential streets run behind them, and the road frontage is full of hospitals, clinics, showrooms and restaurants. Vastu Shastra, India’s traditional science of space (read the background), applies to all of them, but in different ways. This page explains how.

One road, three kinds of property

Most Vastu advice online assumes a standalone house on a square plot. Very few people on Bannerghatta Road live or work in one. Instead we see three common situations, each needing its own approach:

  • Apartments in mid-rise and high-rise complexes, where the unit is read on its own.
  • Independent houses in the older layouts behind the main road, often extended over the years.
  • Commercial units on the road frontage: clinics, diagnostic centres, shops, restaurants and small offices.

The 16-zone method works the same way for all three. What changes is which placements matter most, and what the owner or tenant is actually able to change.

Apartments on Bannerghatta Road

In a flat, the shared entrance, lifts and corridors belong to the building. We focus on the unit: its centre, its 16 zones and how each zone is used. Older apartment blocks here tend to have simpler plans with separate rooms; newer ones are more open, with the living and dining run together and the kitchen opening into them.

In an open plan, the kitchen and stove still need a sensible zone, so we look closely at where the stove sits and which way the cook faces. In older plans, there are usually more options for swapping room use, such as moving the master bedroom to the south-west room or turning a small north-east room into a study or prayer space.

Our apartment Vastu service goes into this in more detail.

Independent houses behind the main road

The residential streets behind Bannerghatta Road hold many independent houses, some decades old. These homes have often been extended upwards and sideways, with a rented floor above, an external staircase, or a portion converted to a small business.

For Vastu, every addition changes the outline of the building. We draw the full footprint, check which corners are now cut or extended, and locate the sump, overhead tank, septic tank and staircase. Then we look at how the family uses each floor.

Frequently the most useful changes are about who sleeps where. The eldest couple or the head of the family suits the south-west; children and guests suit the west and north-west. Our page on independent house Vastu explains the full reading.

Clinics and healthcare spaces

Bannerghatta Road has a large number of hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres. For a doctor’s clinic, Vastu looks at the patient’s path: where they enter, wait, are seen and pay. Calm, light and clear movement matter more here than anywhere.

Traditional guidance places the doctor’s seat in the south-west part of the consulting room, facing north or east. The waiting area works well in the north or east, where light is softer. Records and heavy equipment sit better in the south or west. All of this is about layout, so tenants can usually apply it without asking a landlord.

Shops, showrooms and restaurants

For a retail unit, the entrance, the first display a customer sees, the billing counter and the owner’s seat carry most of the Vastu weight. The cash counter is usually best placed so the person handling money faces north or east. Heavy stock and storage suit the south-west.

Restaurants add a kitchen to the mix. The cooking range fits most naturally in the south-east zone of the kitchen, and the dining area does well in the west or north. Our pages on shop Vastu and commercial Vastu cover these spaces in full.

Traditional guidance and what we measure

Traditional guidance: classical Vastu texts, including the Aparajitaprccha that Raghavendra Hebbur studies, describe preferred placements for entrances, kitchens, bedrooms, storage and water. These rules are the reference.

What we measure: the true orientation of your space, the exact degree of each entrance, the zone of every room and fixture, and, on a site visit, bands of geopathic stress found with a Lecher Antenna. The report compares the two and tells you which gaps are worth fixing first.

How a Vastu consultant in Bannerghatta Road works on site

We travel from our office in Virgo Nagar and schedule Bannerghatta Road visits around traffic, usually early in the day. A home takes one to four hours, depending on the size of the home,; a clinic or shop depends on size and is quoted in advance.

Compass readings are taken at several points, away from steel and equipment, and corrected for magnetic declination, which you can check on the NOAA declination calculator. Within 48 hours you receive the written VIDS report with the zone map, readings and corrections ranked by priority. Follow-up questions are answered on WhatsApp.

Corrections you can make without breaking walls

Our Vastu corrections use what is already there. In homes, that means room use, the direction of the bed and desk, the position of heavy furniture, colour and lighting. In clinics and shops, it means the seat of the owner, the position of the counter, the flow of customers and where stock is kept.

If something truly needs construction, we tell you plainly and explain whether it is worth it. Most of the time it is not needed. See our guide to zero-demolition corrections for typical examples.

Fees for Bannerghatta Road homes and businesses

Our Vastu fees are published and fixed before the visit. A Bangalore apartment or row house is ₹15,000. A villa or independent house is ₹25,000. Commercial premises start from ₹51,000. An online consultation from drawings is ₹5,000. Details are on the fees page. An online assessment uses traditional Vastu only, the 16-zone map and the 3×3 grid drawn on your plan; geopathic stress readings need a site visit.

Every fee includes the written report and follow-up questions. The sample report shows the format. We sell no products and take no commission from builders or suppliers.

What Vastu can honestly do for you

A home or clinic arranged with care tends to feel calmer, flow better and be easier to work in. That is what Vastu can offer. It cannot guarantee profits, cures, a marriage or any other life outcome, and we never claim it can.

We will also not frighten you. A south-facing door or a toilet in the north-east is something to understand and manage, not a reason to sell. To see how we approach each reading, visit the methodology page, or book a consultation.

Living above or behind a shop

A common arrangement on and around this road is a family home above a ground-floor shop, or a house with a front portion let out as an office. In these buildings we read each floor separately, because each has its own use, and then check how the two relate: where the shared staircase runs, where water tanks sit, and whether the entrance to the home competes with the entrance to the business.

Often the simplest step is to give the home and the business clearly separate approaches, keep the stair landing uncluttered, and make sure the family’s bedrooms upstairs sit in the south and west rather than directly above a noisy counter or kitchen.

Noise, traffic and a calm bedroom

Homes that face a busy main road live with constant movement on one side. Classical guidance does not talk about traffic, but it does talk about rest, and the principle carries over well. The bedroom should sit in a settled zone, ideally the south-west, and away from the noisiest wall where the plan allows.

Heavy curtains, a solid headboard against a wall, and keeping electronics out of the sleeping area all help. Where we take a Lecher Antenna reading, we also check the bed position for bands of geopathic stress and move it if needed. None of this needs any purchase beyond ordinary furnishings.

Before you buy or rent on this road

If you are choosing a flat, house or shop here, a few minutes with a compass and the plan will tell you a lot. Check which side the entrance faces, where the kitchen or pantry sits, whether the north-east is open or blocked, and what the plot or unit looks like in outline.

For a more careful view before you commit, our apartment buying checklist lists the points we look at, and a short online review from drawings costs much less than a wrong purchase.

Frequently asked questions.

Do you assess clinics and shops on Bannerghatta Road?

Yes. We read the entrance, the owner or doctor’s seat, the counter and the customer path. Commercial fees start from ₹51,000 and are confirmed before the visit.

My house has been extended over the years. Does that matter?

It can. Extensions change the outline of the building, so we draw the full footprint on site and check which corners are now cut or extended.

Do I need to break any walls?

No. Corrections use room use, placement, colour and lighting. If something truly needs construction, we say so plainly.

When will I receive the report?

Within 48 hours of the visit, with follow-up questions answered on WhatsApp.
