Vastu Consultant in Hennur

On-site Vastu assessments for new apartments, older independent houses and plots across Hennur. Measured from true north, zone by zone, and corrected without breaking a wall.

Vardhini Vastu works as a Vastu consultant in Hennur for families in the newer apartment towers along Hennur Road, for owners of older independent houses in the layouts behind it, and for people planning to build on a plot further north. We read every property with a compass from true north, map it into 16 zones and send a written report within 48 hours. Nothing we suggest involves breaking a wall.

Hennur has changed fast. Quiet residential streets now sit beside tall residential projects, and many buyers here are first-time owners who want clear advice before they furnish. Vastu Shastra is the traditional Indian science of space and direction (background on Wikipedia). This page explains how we apply it here, what we check, how the visit runs and what it costs.

Why Hennur homes need a measured reading

Hennur is a mix of old and new. Some streets were laid out decades ago and follow older roads, so houses there are rarely square to the compass. Newer towers are planned on larger land parcels and placed to suit the site, not the cardinal directions. In both cases a home that looks east facing at a glance can sit several degrees off true east.

Those few degrees matter. The 16-zone method divides a home into slices of about 22.5 degrees each, so a small tilt can move a main door or a kitchen from one zone into the next. Guessing from a phone compass, or from the north arrow printed on a brochure, often gives the wrong answer.

That is why every Hennur assessment starts with readings taken on site, at several points, away from steel and wiring. Only then do we decide what is working and what needs attention.

What a Vastu consultant in Hennur checks first

A home has dozens of placements, but a handful decide most of the reading. These come first on every visit:

  • The main entrance, its exact degree and which of the entrance positions on that side it occupies.
  • The kitchen and stove, and the direction the person cooking faces.
  • The master bedroom, its zone and where the head of the bed points.
  • The north-east corner, which tradition asks to keep light and open, and which modern plans often fill with a toilet or utility.
  • The centre of the home, which should stay as free as possible of heavy furniture and clutter.
  • Desks used for long hours, now common in homes where one or both partners work remotely.

After mapping these we rank them. A report that lists twenty equal corrections helps nobody, so ours always tells you what to change first and what can wait.

New apartment towers along Hennur Road

Most enquiries from Hennur come from apartment owners. In a flat, the building entrance, lifts and corridors are shared, so we treat the unit itself as the space to be read. We find its centre, draw the 16 zones from there and look at how each zone is actually used.

Compact modern plans tend to stack the kitchen, utility and service ducts on one wall, and balconies are placed for light and view rather than direction. None of that can be moved. What can change is which bedroom the couple uses, which way the bed faces, where tall wardrobes stand, where the study table goes and how open the north and east sides are kept.

If your flat is still under construction, this is the best time to talk. Wardrobes, the puja unit, lighting and kitchen fittings are all still open decisions, and getting them right costs nothing extra.

Older independent houses in the side layouts

Behind the main road there are many independent houses, some built by the families who still live in them. Over the years these homes often gain a first floor, a rooftop room, a rented portion with its own staircase, or a shed on one side. Each addition changes the shape of the built area, and shape is one of the first things Vastu looks at.

When we read an older house we draw the full outline, including extensions, and check which corners are now extended or cut. We also locate the sump, the overhead tank, the staircase and the septic tank, since these heavy or wet elements carry weight in the traditional reading.

Very often the corrections in an older home are about room use. A ground-floor bedroom used by parents, a study moved to a different room, or a storeroom shifted to the south-west can make the layout far better balanced without touching the structure.

Traditional guidance and what we measure

We keep classical rules and site readings separate, so you always know which is which.

Traditional guidance: the north-east should be open and clean, the south-west heavy and stable, the kitchen in the south-east, and the master bedroom in the south-west. These rules come from the classical texts, including the Aparajitaprccha, which Raghavendra Hebbur studies closely.

What we measure: the true orientation of your home, the degree of the entrance, the zone of every room, and bands of geopathic stress found with a Lecher Antenna where a site visit is possible. The report then shows how closely your home matches the tradition and where the gaps are worth closing.

Building on a plot further north

Hennur Road continues north towards newer layouts where families are buying plots to build their own homes. If you are at that stage, a short pre-purchase check is the most useful Vastu spending you will ever do, because shape, slope and road position cannot be changed after the sale deed.

We look at the plot outline, any cut or extended corners, which sides the roads touch, the natural fall of the land and what stands next door. If the plot is fine, you can design with confidence. If it is not, you will know before money changes hands.

Our plot Vastu service and the checklist before buying a plot explain this in more detail.

How a Hennur visit works

Our office is in Virgo Nagar in east Bangalore, so Hennur visits are straightforward to arrange, including on weekends. A typical home visit takes one to four hours, depending on the size of the home,, depending on size, number of floors and whether there is a terrace or garden.

We take compass readings at several points and correct them for magnetic declination, the small difference between magnetic north and true north. You can see the current value for Bangalore on the NOAA magnetic declination calculator. We also note how each room is used, where heavy furniture sits and how daylight enters.

Within 48 hours you receive the written VIDS report. Follow-up questions are answered on WhatsApp, so you are not left guessing while you make changes.

Corrections without demolition

Every recommendation we make works inside your existing walls. The usual tools are simple:

  • Changing which room is used for what, such as moving the master bedroom to the south-west.
  • Turning the bed, desk or stove so you face a better direction.
  • Moving heavy storage away from the north-east and towards the south or west.
  • Using colour and lighting to support the element of each zone.
  • Clearing the centre of the home and keeping the north and east uncluttered.

If something genuinely needs construction to fix, we say so plainly and explain the trade-off, so you can decide. Most of the time it does not. Our article on zero-demolition corrections gives more examples.

Fees and what you receive

Fees are fixed by property type and confirmed before the visit. In Bangalore, an apartment or row house assessment is ₹15,000 and a villa or independent house is ₹25,000. If you prefer to start from drawings, an online consultation is ₹5,000. The full list is on our fees page. An online assessment uses traditional Vastu only, the 16-zone map and the 3×3 grid drawn on your plan; geopathic stress readings need a site visit.

The fee covers the visit, the written report and follow-up questions. You can see the format in our sample Vastu report. We sell no products, yantras or crystals, and we take no commission from builders, so our advice is not tied to anything you have to buy.

What Vastu can and cannot do

Vastu is about how a home is arranged: light, air, movement, rest and the balance of the five elements. A well-arranged home tends to feel calmer and work better day to day, and many families tell us they sleep and focus better after simple changes.

It cannot promise wealth, a marriage, a job or a cure, and anyone who guarantees those outcomes is overselling. We will not frighten you about a south-facing door or a toilet in the wrong corner. We will tell you, honestly, how much each issue matters and what you can do about it.

When to call a Vastu consultant in Hennur

The best times to call are before you buy, before interiors start, and before you move in. Those are the moments when changes are cheapest. It is still worth a visit if you have lived in a home for years and simply want to know where it stands.

You can learn more about how we work on the methodology page, or go straight to booking a consultation. If you live nearby, our pages for Hebbal and KR Puram cover those areas.
